Base-Solana Bridge Goes Live on Mainnet
Base has officially launched its Base-Solana Bridge on mainnet, marking a significant advancement in cross-chain cryptocurrency interoperability. This new bridge, secured by Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and in partnership with Coinbase, enables users to move Solana assets across both networks with ease. Assets such as SOL, CHILLHOUSE, and TRENCHER can now be traded and utilized within Base applications, while communities benefit from access to combined liquidity pools across Base and Solana.
The bridge is readily available for developers to integrate into their applications, including platforms like Zora, Aerodrome, Virtuals, Flaunch, and Relay. This integration opens up new avenues for cross-chain experiences and enhances the utility of on-chain assets.

Empowering Builders and Users Across Chains
Developers building on Base can now natively support Solana assets, including SOL and SPL tokens, within their applications. This capability allows users to deposit Solana assets into Base applications, import any Solana token into Base, and subsequently export Base assets back to the Solana network. The bridge is designed to foster a wide range of financial, gaming, and NFT applications, enabling communities to interact with assets irrespective of their originating chain. Base is committed to providing a simple, fast, and accessible experience, aiming to make cross-chain asset movement as straightforward as traditional online transactions.
Robust Security for Reliable Transfers
Security is a foundational element of the Base-Solana Bridge. All transactions are independently verified by Chainlink CCIP, operating through a bespoke cross-chain oracle, and by Coinbase. This dual verification process ensures that token transfers between Base and Solana are both safe and reliable. Users and developers can confidently engage in trading, depositing, and withdrawing assets, secure in the knowledge that counterparty risk is mitigated.
The introduction of the Base-Solana Bridge represents a significant achievement in connecting disparate blockchain ecosystems. It facilitates greater adoption of on-chain assets by promoting liquidity and interoperability between two leading blockchain networks. This development further solidifies Base's role as a central hub for decentralized applications and cross-chain innovation.
