US trading volume for cryptocurrencies has reached $1 trillion in 2025, according to TRM Labs' latest report. This significant milestone highlights a robust crypto ecosystem and suggests a positive outlook for the sector.
TRM Labs released a report this week indicating that crypto adoption in the US resulted in a 50% rise in transaction volume over the past year.
The report states that the Trump administration’s reversal on crypto, following a prolonged period of regulatory uncertainty, played a major role in boosting crypto adoption in 2025.
The GENIUS Act and the CLARITY Act have both created certainty in how the US government handles stablecoins, demonstrating a political commitment to the long-term support of crypto in the US.
As of 2025, the US transacts over $1 trillion in crypto every year, a significant portion of which is Bitcoin-based activity. Even just the net inflows from spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds reached nearly $15 billion in the first half of 2025.
TRM expects this growth to be part of a trend that could last several years, underscored by the current administration’s mainstream political support.
