Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, widely known as CZ, has responded to social media discussions suggesting that the value increase of BNB is solely tied to community growth.
CZ clarified that while the token's price might not always reflect its intrinsic value in the short term, there is a correlation in the long run. He stated, "The price is not always related to the value (development level) in the short term, but it is related in the long term."
BNB's Recent Market Performance
This discussion occurs against the backdrop of BNB's recent market activity. Currently, the token is trading at $894.24, marking a slight increase of 0.24% within the last 24 hours. Despite this recent uptick, BNB is still trading approximately 35% below its all-time high of $1,370.55, which was recorded on October 13, 2025.
However, on an annual basis, BNB has demonstrated a robust performance, appreciating by 40.22% in value over the past year.
At the time of this report, BNB's total market capitalization stands at approximately $123 billion. This figure is a decrease from its peak valuation of $170 billion. It is worth noting that the token had previously reached around $110 billion during the significant altcoin bull run of 2021.
