As of 12:00 AM KST on December 7, Bitcoin (BTC) was trading at 134.7 million KRW on South Korea’s Upbit exchange, showing a 0.65% increase from the previous day. On the global exchange Binance, BTC was priced at 132.67 million KRW. This price difference amounts to 2.03 million KRW, resulting in a kimchi premium of 1.53%.
Altcoin Premiums in the Korean Market
Ethereum (ETH), the leading altcoin, recorded a kimchi premium of 1.56%. Other major altcoins also exhibited similar premiums: Solana (SOL) at 1.54%, XRP (XRP) at 1.47%, Dogecoin (DOGE) at 1.73%, and Sui (SUI) at 1.56%. The majority of top altcoins are currently trading with premiums in the range of 1.4% to 1.7%.
