Crypto exchange firm Bitget has appointed Ignacio Aguirre Franco as the new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead global brand strategy and improve user engagement and adoption. This appointment comes as the exchange advances its Universal Exchange (UEX) model.
New Bitget CMO to Bridge CeFi, DeFi, and TradFi
Ignacio Aguirre Franco brings over 15 years of experience in technology, fintech, and blockchain networks. He is expected to lead global initiatives, expand brand visibility, enhance product marketing, and drive adoption. According to Bitget, Aguirre’s appointment aligns with its strategic goal to connect centralized finance (CeFi), decentralized finance (DeFi), and traditional finance (TradFi) under a single, integrated platform.
Previously, Ignacio Aguirre held senior positions at Adobe, SAP, Scorechain, and Xapo Bank, where he was instrumental in scaling digital products and improving global marketing positions. Bitget's announcement highlights that Aguirre possesses a unique blend of technical and creative skills, enabling him to bridge the gap between engineering and marketing and communicate complex technologies in accessible ways.
The core of any great tech is based on its access and the greater opportunities it brings to disrupt. For too long, finance has been a fractured landscape; my mission at Bitget is to dismantle those old barriers. I will ensure the story of the Universal Exchange resonates with people globally, making secure access to crypto and real-world assets a reality for everyone.
