Electronic Arts co-founder Bing Gordon, known for shaping classics like The Sims and The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth, has joined the Sui Foundation as an advisor. This marks another high-profile move linking traditional gaming veterans with blockchain platforms.
Gordon, who also serves on Take-Two Interactive’s board, will guide Sui’s efforts to expand blockchain-based gaming. His appointment follows CCP Games’ decision to select Sui as the exclusive blockchain partner for EVE Frontier, the upcoming space survival MMO.

With four decades of gaming experience, including key roles at EA and the venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins, Gordon will advise on strategy and market positioning for projects launching on Sui.
The gaming ecosystem built on Sui has rapidly evolved, with major projects like XOCIETY and the SuiPlay0X1 gaming console joining its lineup.
Gordon noted that real progress in gaming innovation “requires infrastructure that can support lasting engagement,” framing Sui as a network focused on sustainable development rather than short-term market trends.
Traditional Gaming Veterans Meet Web3
Sui’s latest appointment shows how blockchain networks are courting veteran talent to strengthen credibility in the Web3 gaming space.
Solana, for instance, recently partnered with gamified trading platform MattleFun to connect on-chain identity through its Solana Name Service. Each initiative highlights how blockchain ecosystems are evolving from infrastructure projects to full-fledged entertainment networks.
Sui Foundation efforts on gaming infrastructure and Solana’s focus on digital identity point to a common direction: where blockchain reshapes how players own, create, and connect.
How this convergence develops will be closely watched by traders and developers alike.
