Tesla CEO Elon Musk has stirred up excitement by hinting that the company may reveal a flying-car prototype before the end of 2025, describing the upcoming launch as potentially “the most memorable product unveil ever.”
During his appearance on the The Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Musk was asked if Tesla is “actively considering” building an electric flying car. He paused, then joked: “I think if Peter wants a flying car, we should be able to buy one.”
He added that the new vehicle—which appears to be tied to the next-generation Tesla Roadster—is nearing a prototype demonstration and teased that it “has crazy technology” that “might not even qualify as a car.”
Musk clearly cautioned that the timeline remains tentative, but the message is bold: Tesla is exploring technologies that may allow road vehicles to take to the air, blending automobile and aircraft features. If true, the move would mark a major leap for personal transport and automotive innovation.
