Activity continues to surround Tesla CEO Elon Musk, who is known for his support of Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies, particularly Dogecoin (DOGE).
An address linked to Elon Musk's space exploration company, SpaceX, has transferred $268 million worth of BTC to an unlabeled wallet.
Details of the Transaction
According to on-chain analyst ai_9684xtpa, an address purportedly belonging to SpaceX transferred 2,395 BTC, valued at $268 million, to an unlabeled address. This marks the first such transfer from the company in three months.
The transfer was split into two parts: 1,187 BTC was sent to the address 'bc1qq…4sduw', and 1,208 BTC was sent to the address 'bc1qj7…6kqef'. To date, no new BTC has been transferred or sold from either of the recipient addresses.
Context and Previous Activity
This recent transaction follows a similar transfer from the same address in July, which involved $152 million worth of BTC. That July transfer was the first major Bitcoin movement from the SpaceX wallet in three years.
The analyst noted that the recipient address of SpaceX's July transfer was identified by Arkham as a Coinbase Prime Custody address.
The analyst suggested that the latest transaction might represent an internal wallet change.
