Liquid Capital's Strategy for Ethereum
Yi Lihua, founder of Liquid Capital, has announced a strategic approach to Ethereum (ETH) investment, focusing on spot buying within the $3,000 to $3,300 range. This strategy is a continuation of his previous successful trades, which saw him sell ETH at nearly $4,500 before this reinvestment.
The firm's current strategy emphasizes spot trades without leverage, a deliberate choice to navigate recent increases in market volatility. This approach marks a shift from Lihua's earlier methods and aligns with broader risk management practices. Lihua stated, "In the first half of the year, I started buying the dip at $1800, and it eventually dropped to $1350. I called for buying the dip at around $1450, and I sold out around $4500 to take profit. Later, the price went up to $4700. No one can perfectly buy the lowest dip and sell at the highest top... This time, I suggest buying the spot at $3000-$3300, do not use contracts. The situation is still unclear... However, we hold onto our spot position..."
Lihua's commitment to transparency and his decision to avoid leverage have drawn attention within the trading community, particularly given the current macroeconomic environment heavily influenced by U.S. stock trends. These external factors are recognized as significant drivers of cryptocurrency market movements. His emphasis on risk management and transparency has been noted by market participants.
Ethereum's Historical Performance and Future Outlook
Despite ongoing market volatility, Ethereum's strategic spot buying approach reflects historical trade cycles. This pattern suggests a resilient value recovery for Ethereum following macroeconomic shifts.
As of recent data, Ethereum (ETH) is trading at $2,802.78, with a market capitalization of $338,283,566,902. Recent performance indicators show a 7.54% decrease in the last 24 hours and a 10.81% decline over the past seven days, indicating significant short-term volatility. Over a three-month period, Ethereum has experienced a 40.72% loss.

Research from Coincu suggests that potential regulatory changes regarding cryptocurrency leverage trading could encourage a greater shift towards spot trading. Historical market trends indicate that periods of downturn are often followed by recoveries, suggesting potential for future growth in Ethereum's market position.
