EuroFinance is pleased to announce the rebranding of its token ticker to wEURC. This update reflects our own identity and direction as an independent, euro-focused crypto project built for our community.
We are not Circle, and we are not a stablecoin
Over time, some users have confused our previous branding with the EURC stablecoin issued by Circle. We want to make this absolutely clear:
- •EuroFinance is an independent organization.
- •wEURC is not a stablecoin.
- •wEURC is not issued by, backed by, endorsed by, or otherwise affiliated with Circle or any of Circle’s EURC products.
Our token has its own mechanics, utilities and risk profile, designed by the EuroFinance team for our specific community and use cases. We respect the work of other market participants, but we want to remove any possible confusion: when you see wEURC, you are interacting with the EuroFinance project, not Circle.
Who we are as EuroFinance
EuroFinance is a motivated, independent team focused on building transparent, EU-oriented crypto products for a growing global audience. Our goals are simple:
- •to provide a clear, euro-linked crypto asset with practical utilities;
- •to build tools, campaigns and products that serve our community first;
- •to expand and multiply our audience in a responsible and sustainable way.
The wEURC ticker is a key part of this identity. It signals that our project has its own roadmap, its own values and its own direction — separate from any centralized issuer or external institution.
Why the rebrand matters
The switch to wEURC is meant to:
