It is with a profound sense of responsibility that I speak before you at India Blockchain Week — one of the world’s leading Web3 gatherings.
Once again this year, I have the honor of being the only African CEO invited to this event. It is a privilege, but let me say this with honesty and diplomacy: This is not a position that satisfies me. I should not be the only one. And I do not want to be the only one.
Africa is home to hundreds of millions of talented young people, brilliant minds, innovators and creators. And yet, too few of them are present in strategic global technology forums.

Africa, with a median age of 19, is the youngest continent on Earth. More than 70% of its population is under 45. India, with a median age of 28, has one of the world’s largest concentrations of developers and engineers.
