An increase in the activity of UNI token has attracted the attention of the market as on-chain data has shown substantial whale activity in the last six hours. Analytics platform Spot On Chain showed that big volumes of the asset were being deposited in big exchanges, which indicates possible sell-offs or strategic repositioning when prices are being corrected.
$15 Million UNI Deposited to Binance
The report by Spot On Chain discovered two wallets that are likely to be run by one whale that transferred about 1.71 million tokens, which are valued at around 15 million dollars, into Binance about three hours ago. This large influx has brought questions to the crypto community, since the whales tend to move before big price movements.
Between February 5 and October 12, 2025, the whale accumulated from Binance and Flowdesk a total of $16.44 million in UNI tokens. According to the calculations made by Spot On Chain, the move made the trader possibly lose $1.44 million, which is an 8.8% decline in value.
It may indicate that this transfer may be part of a larger plan to liquidate or repackage holdings, perhaps in the future, in the view of additional market correction following the recent surge witnessed by the token.
Over $77 Million UNI Sent to Coinbase Prime
Two other wallets associated with Uniswap also moved a total of 8.23 million tokens, worth an estimated 77.45 million dollars, into Coinbase Prime within several hours.
The tokens were from the wallet number 0x8Fd and displayed the Uniswap: Investors label by blockchain tracker Arkham. According to historical data, the dormancy of these tokens had lasted almost five years, which implies that long-term investors could be making profits due to the recent volatility of UNI.
Additional records indicate that there were several internal movements of the Coinbase Prime hot wallets, justifying the inflows of 1.35 million tokens and 6.87 million UNI, respectively, worth a total of 90 million dollars, which supports the findings of Spot On Chain.
Price Volatility and Market Reactions
After these whale transfers, UNI is reported to have had a steep correction on the market price, halving the previous day’s gains. This kind of volatility is usually indicative of uncertainty in traders responding to mass token flows.
Analysts are confident that the timing of the whale deposits might indicate a larger market sentiment since liquidity is shifting out of cold storage to exchanges, which may suggest sell pressure. But other traders see the action as a repositioning in the future of either governance or development announcements in the Uniswap ecosystem.
Context Behind the Transfers
The addresses used in both Binance and Coinbase transactions are already connected to the activity of Uniswap and centralized exchanges and are therefore noteworthy indicators of institutional or early investor actions.
The coordinated movements in the six-hour window are indicative of coordination or a response to internal price signals. According to blockchain, though these wallets had large quantities of the token previously, this is the first significant outflow since accumulation.
