Midnight Foundation Activates NIGHT Redemption Portal With Phased Unlocks for Glacier Drop Users

Midnight Foundation has officially launched the NIGHT Redemption Portal, opening the door for Glacier Drop and Scavenger Mine participants to begin redeeming their token allocations.

The rollout marks a major milestone for the project, introducing a structured thawing process that unlocks NIGHT tokens over a full annual cycle.

A Streamlined Portal for NIGHT Token Claims

The portal provides a dedicated interface where eligible users can connect a verified Cardano wallet or manually input their destination address to view their allocation. Once connected, the dashboard displays the total claim amount, the user’s personalized thawing timeline, and the number of tokens currently available for redemption.

The process is designed to be straightforward: if a portion of tokens is unlocked, a Redeem button becomes active. Users must cover a small ADA network fee, which can be paid through the connected wallet or, if preferred, via the “On Behalf Of” option that allows fee payment from a separate Cardano wallet. After authorizing the transaction, the tokens are delivered directly to the designated destination address.

How the Thawing Schedule Works

The unlock mechanism follows a four-part structure that spreads distribution over 360 days. Instead of releasing tokens immediately, the system assigns each participant a randomized initial unlock date during the first 90-day window beginning December 10, 2025. Once that first tranche becomes available, the remaining shares unlock every 90 days, each representing 25% of the total allocation.

The design serves two purposes: it ensures a gradual release of tokens into circulation and gives participants predictable checkpoints throughout the year. A 90-day grace period follows the final unlock, allowing users additional time to redeem any remaining amounts before the portal shuts down.
