Strategic Partnership to Accelerate EduFi Adoption
Open Campus, the blockchain-driven education DAO, and Animoca Brands have announced a strategic partnership with Nasdaq-listed Rich Sparkle Holdings Limited (ANPA). This collaboration marks ANPA’s first major move into cryptocurrency. The partnership involves ANPA committing up to $50 million in EDU tokens over the next 24 months, while Animoca Brands will contribute $3 million worth of EDU tokens to the initiative. The deal aims to accelerate institutional adoption of EduFi and expand the adoption of blockchain-based education finance solutions globally.

Driving Institutional Adoption of EduFi
ANPA’s investment will primarily target staking, governance, and the company’s entry into the education finance sector. By leveraging its corporate network of over 190 publicly listed companies across Hong Kong and the U.S., ANPA plans to integrate traditional finance with blockchain-based infrastructure. The partnership will also focus on ESG-compliant, sustainable financing in emerging markets, channeling capital toward education, inclusion, and impact-driven initiatives.
Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands, highlighted the broader goal of democratizing access to education finance through blockchain technology. He stated, “By advancing EduFi in partnership with ANPA and Open Campus, we are empowering learners and reshaping the future of education to be more transparent and inclusive.”
Blockchain-Powered Financial Layer for Education
Open Campus has developed EDU Chain, a Layer 3 blockchain on Arbitrum Orbit, designed to provide on-chain education finance solutions. The EDU token serves as both the DAO’s governance token and the native gas token for EDU Chain. Mohamed Ezeldin, president of Open Campus, emphasized that the partnership marks a milestone in aligning incentives between learners, educators, and institutions while expanding access to blockchain-based financial tools in education.
Matthew Chan, CEO of ANPA, described the initiative as a transformative step. He commented, “Our strategic investment in EDU tokens reflects our conviction in blockchain’s potential to create a transparent, accessible education finance ecosystem.”
In related news, Animoca Brands, in partnership with Chess.com, integrated the $CHECK token on November 13, establishing it as the native utility token for the game’s growing ecosystem.
