Strategy chairman Michael Saylor has indicated the possibility of another significant Bitcoin purchase, shortly after the company added $1.25 billion worth of the cryptocurrency to its reserves last week.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Saylor shared a graph from StrategyTracker illustrating Bitcoin's price and Strategy's past purchase timings. The accompanying caption read, "Bigger Orange."

Saylor has a history of using X to hint at upcoming Bitcoin acquisitions in this manner, and Strategy has shown no indication of reducing its Bitcoin purchasing activity in 2026.
The company began the year by purchasing 1,283 BTC for $115.97 million on January 4. This was followed by a larger acquisition of 13,627 BTC for $1.25 billion on January 11.
According to data from StrategyTracker, Strategy now holds a total of 687,410 BTC, acquired at an average price of $75,353 per coin. With Bitcoin currently trading at approximately $92,300, Strategy's Bitcoin holdings are in profit.
Financial Position: Profitability Amidst Looming Debt Obligations
Despite the profitability of its Bitcoin reserves, Strategy's stock price has experienced a significant decline over the past 12 months. As of January 16, the stock was trading at $173.71, representing a decrease of approximately 52.67%, according to data from Yahoo Finance.
Strategy has employed various methods to raise capital for its Bitcoin investments, with a notable strategy involving the sale of short-term debt through convertible notes.
However, a substantial amount of debt will become convertible by holders in late 2027 and throughout 2028. This upcoming debt maturity presents a considerable challenge, requiring the firm to secure large sums of capital.
Strategy has consistently stated its preparedness to manage its financial obligations. Nonetheless, the company has also suggested that selling a portion of its Bitcoin holdings could be a possibility if necessary to free up capital.
Cointelegraph has reached out to Strategy for an official comment on the matter.
