According to blockchain analysis platform Arkham, the TRUMP team was identified as one of the five largest recipients of the Meteora (MET) airdrop. Three wallets associated with the team collectively received a total of $4.2 million worth of MET tokens. These specific wallets include the TRUMP token developer address and two addresses that had previously provided liquidity on the project's initial day. Arkham data indicates that all three of these addresses subsequently deposited their entire MET airdrop holdings onto the OKX exchange.
Legal Action Against Meteora Founder
Concurrently, on the same day these airdrop details emerged, it was reported that a class-action lawsuit was filed in the United States against Meteora founder Benjamin Chow. The legal action, submitted to the Southern District Court of New York, alleges that Chow engaged in fraudulent activities amounting to approximately $57 million through memecoin projects named "LIBRA" and "MELANIA."
The lawsuit contends that Chow successfully attracted investor interest by artificially inflating the perceived value of these two tokens, leveraging high-profile associations and extensive marketing efforts. Following this, he is accused of profiting through insider trading, which reportedly resulted in substantial financial losses for numerous investors.
As of the reporting, neither the Meteora team nor Benjamin Chow have issued an official statement regarding these allegations.
